QUESTION: You're staring down a pack of green eyed wolves... where are you?

R. G.

ANSWER:

If you're talking about four-legged wolves, and not those green-eyed wolf spiders from up around the four corners area, the answer would have to be Yellowstone, where gray wolves were re-introduced back around 1995. The gray wolf can actually have eyes ranging from green to yellow to brown. One thing's for certain: they're not pups, because gray wolves almost always have blue eyes when they're born.

If you ever wander up to my neck of the woods, be sure to check out the International Wolf Center at Ely, MN. And it's not unusual to hear gray wolves or timber wolves howling in the woods at night around here.
